What’s On In October 2026: Cultural Calendar

29 September

Spooky Season is revving up, and there is so much to do in the Lancaster and Morecambe area throughout October! I think this might be the longest Cultural Calendar I’ve created, but there was just that many things happening. Everywhere I looked there was something else that needed to go on the list, and this isn’t everything! Get out and about this month in the area because there really is something for everyone…

The list below is not meant to be exhaustive, but cherry picking some of the best things to do in October at our cultural venues in and around Lancaster and Morecambe, as well as one or two events from further afield.

Information correct at time of publishing.

If you would like your event to be featured in an upcoming Cultural Calendar, send me an email at bryony@thenorthishlass.co.uk – I will feature cultural events, theatre, festivals, music, comedy etc. on this list.

Lancaster Music Festival IS BACK

With over 50 venues taking part across the city, platforming 300 hundred artists over four days, Lancaster Music Festival is one of the UK’s largest city-based music festivals. After taking a break in 2025, I’m so excited to see it back in 2026! Check out the website linked above for a full schedule and breakdown of all the artists who are playing.
